Great Moments... Volume 2

Volume 2:

In this second epic moment, I was able to leverage my character's very high Persuasion skill to end a fight just as it was beginning by convincing our attacker, someone who was otherwise not our enemy, to stand down and not fight us.

His reasoning for attacking us at all was to deliberately break a magical oath and get taken away by the gods so that those he felt responsible for taking care of would not get swept up in an old promise that he didn't want to have to keep.

In this picture, I'm especially fond of how the facial expression turned out.  Langlicia looks likes she's on the verge of tears while pleading for an end to the fighting.

"Lord Helios, please, we don't need to fight.  You've already accomplished your goal.  Now let your children's memory of you be a Noble one, not a Tragic one.  And let us honor your sacrifice by departing from each other as dear friends, not as enemies."
